John Lira For Congress

John Lira is a Marine Corps combat veteran, public servant, and father who was born and raised in Southeast Bexar County. A fourth-generation Mexican American from a working-class family, he grew up dancing at quinceañeras, cheering at Friday night football games, and working as a busboy on the San Antonio Riverwalk. A decorated disabled veteran and former Democratic nominee for Congress, John has spent more than 25 years serving our nation in uniform, in the federal government, and in the community. Now, he’s running to represent Texas’s 35th District to defend democracy, tackle the high cost of living, revive Texas small businesses, build the infrastructure of the future, and deliver responsive leadership to Texans.
